Unicorn Voice Master Amplifier Panel with EVC
Summary
The Unicorn Voice Master Amplifier Panel (ViUV-MAP) is a unique distributed wall-mounted, panel-based voice alarm and fire telephone solution that is compliant to EN54-16. This innovative system simplifies the specification and installation of voice alarm and fire telephone systems by offering a comprehensive one cabinet solution.
The system is designed for a wide range of applications from small standalone buildings through to multistorey and campus style building complexes. The Master Amplifier Panel is equipped with everything required for a voice alarm system including amplifiers, message module, power supply, space for integral standby batteries and an integrated microphone for live announcements.
Unicorn Voice can be networked using copper, multimode fibre or single mode fibre connections, providing exceptional flexibility for installations. The network architecture enables expansion from small to large sites with ease, supporting up to 64 panels with 256 audio outputs across the entire network.

FAQ
What is the maximum network capacity of the Unicorn Voice system?
The system supports up to 64 amplifier panels across the network, providing a total of 256 audio outputs. For Emergency Voice Communication, the system capacity is 512 lines across the network.
What networking options are available?
Unicorn Voice can be networked using copper cable (up to 250m), single-mode fibre (up to 4km) or multi-mode fibre (up to 1.6km). This flexibility allows for copper within buildings and fibre for longer distances between buildings.
Can the system handle simultaneous broadcasts?
Yes, the dual redundant network uses 6 audio channels for VA and 2 channels for EVC functions, enabling simultaneous automatic broadcast of evacuate, alert messages and live announcements without any interruption.
What amplifier options are available?
The Master Amplifier Panel can be configured with 25W, 50W or 100W Class D amplifier modules in dual or quad configurations, with a maximum of 400W per cabinet. A hot swap standby amplifier can also be specified.
How is the system configured?
The system is configured via the 7″ touch screen display without the need for a PC. All configuration is stored on a micro SD card, and extensive logging functions are available.
What is the innovative cabinet design feature?
The MAP is supplied in two parts – an empty back box for first fix installation and cabling, and a secondary chassis containing all electronics that is fitted at commissioning stage. This eliminates risk of damage to electronics during installation.
