- FL1 (Fire Level 1): Triggered by low-level events such as cooking fumes. Logged at the landlord panel but not broadcast beyond the dwelling. The occupant can silence the alarm, reducing unnecessary building-wide alerts or evacuations.
- FL2 (Fire Level 2): Indicates a confirmed or escalating fire (e.g. a heat detector trigger or smoke detected by two or more detectors). These alarms cannot be silenced by the resident and are reported to the landlord system.
- FL3 (Fire Level 3): A controlled evacuation alarm activated only by the Fire Service, allowing for floor-by-floor or zone-by-zone evacuation. This can include voice announcements clearly informing residents of the situation – a critical feature that helps prevent panic and confusion in high-stress situations.
