When staff acknowledge the alarm by pressing the Accept button on the controller, the blue indicator changes from flashing to steady and the internal sounder sounds intermittently every 15 seconds. All devices change from flashing to steady indication with intermittent sounder operation to confirm to the occupant that help is on the way.
What cable types and distances are supported?
The system supports: 1mm 2 core flex for lengths up to 500m from the 1-Zone controller, or security cable for shorter lengths – up to 50m for 2 cores, up to 200m if 4 cores are twisted together. Cat5/6 or security cable options include 1x pair 0.22mm up to 50m or 2x pair 0.22mm up to 100m.
What do the LED status indicators mean on the controller?
The status LED indicates: Solid green – mains supply healthy; Flashing yellow – line is open circuit; Solid yellow – line is short circuit. The status indicator is located on the top right hand of the fascia.
What maintenance is required for the system?
Weekly testing is required: operate a pull cord, acknowledge the call using the controller, check all indicators and reset from the cancel plate within the WC. All test results should be recorded in the site log.
