CAST Handheld Programmer

Summary

The C-TEC CAPROG is a handheld device programmer and testing tool specifically designed for use with C-TEC’s CAST addressable fire alarm systems. This user-friendly device allows for quick assignment of User IDs to CAST detectors, manual call points, sounders, visual alarm devices (VADs), and interface units within seconds.

With the CAPROG, users can easily test the outputs of CAST devices by activating sounders, VADs, or relays. It also enables testing of input devices, such as detecting when a ‘smoked’ CAST detector has triggered an alarm. The CAPROG is battery-powered and features an auto shutdown function to conserve battery life, making it a practical tool for fire safety professionals.

Equipped with a backlit LCD and adjustable contrast control, the CAPROG ensures visibility in various lighting conditions. It includes an integrated base for direct connection to CAST detectors and sounders/VADs, along with a jack socket for programming other CAST ancillary devices.
