From today, 23rd September, Huvo’s delivery charges are changing. Two of them are going up, and we’d rather tell you plainly than let you find out at checkout. But there’s also a new option that costs less than anything we’ve offered before – and for a lot of installs it will be more useful than a van turning up at the door.
What’s changing
- Free delivery threshold: £250. Free UK mainland delivery now applies to orders of £250 and over ex VAT, up from £200.
- Standard delivery: £9.50 plus VAT. Orders under £250 to a UK mainland address are charged £9.50 plus VAT, up from £8.50.
Standard delivery itself works as it always has: in-stock items ordered before the daily cut-off of 2:30pm are dispatched the same day for next-day delivery.
If you regularly place orders that land just under the new threshold, it’s worth combining them. Two £130 orders cost you £19 in carriage; one £260 order costs you nothing.
New: DPD Pickup from £4.75 plus VAT
Alongside the changes above, we’ve introduced a DPD Pickup service. It’s the most cost-effective delivery option Huvo has ever offered:
- £4.75 plus VAT on orders under £250
- Free on orders of £250 and over
- Two-day service (rather than next day)
- More than 10,000 pickup locations to choose from, where your parcel is held securely until you collect it
Choose DPD Pickup at checkout, select the location that suits you, and DPD will let you know when your parcel is ready to collect.
Because it’s a two-day service, it won’t replace standard delivery when you need kit on site tomorrow. For everything else – the stock top-up, the next job’s detectors, the batteries and cable – it will save you money and, as often as not, hassle.
