What is C-TEC ENVISION Fire IoT?

C-TEC ENVISION is a cloud-based remote access, monitoring, commissioning, maintenance and data management platform for compatible C-TEC fire alarm systems. It allows authorised users to remotely monitor system activity, review events, generate reports and manage testing and maintenance information.

Which ENVISION licence do I need?

Choose an ENV/S4 licence for a network containing 1–4 fire panels or an ENV/S64 licence for a network containing 5–64 panels. Both licence types are available for 1, 5 or 10 years.

Do all ENVISION licence options include the same features?

Yes. The ENV/S4 and ENV/S64 licence options provide access to the full ENVISION feature set, including desktop reports, email, SMS and push alerts, end-user and service engineer apps and the graphics module. The difference between the variants is the supported network size and licence duration.

Is the ENV-HUB included with these licences?

No. ENV/S4 and ENV/S64 products are software licences. A compatible ENVISION IoT Gateway Hub, such as the C-TEC ENV-HUB, is required to connect supported fire alarm systems to the ENVISION cloud platform.

What can ENVISION monitor remotely?

ENVISION can report fires, faults, tests and other system activity to PCs and smart devices. Its graphics module can also display system information on uploaded site plans and allows the progress of a fire to be monitored in real time.

Can ENVISION be used for fire alarm walk tests?

Yes. The ENVISION Engineer App supports one-person walk testing, displaying the tests that need to be completed and reporting successful and failed tests directly to the engineer’s device.

Can engineers add information to test records?

Yes. Engineers can add comments and upload photographs during testing for inclusion in subsequent client reports and system records.

Can ENVISION reports be scheduled automatically?

Yes. User-configurable, site-specific reports can be scheduled for automatic delivery on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Does ENVISION provide fire and fault alerts?

Yes. The full ENVISION software feature set supports email, SMS and push alerts for system events including fires, faults and tests.

Which mobile platforms support the ENVISION Engineer App?

C-TEC states that the ENVISION Engineer App is compatible with iOS and Android devices.

How is ENVISION data protected?

C-TEC states that ENVISION data is encrypted and stored in a data centre certified to ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards.

What happens when the ENVISION software subscription expires?

The ENV-HUB includes lifetime fire and fault reporting plus an initial 12 months of access to all ENVISION software features. After this period, an active ENV/S4 or ENV/S64 subscription is required to continue using the complete ENVISION feature set.
