What’s the difference between the three communicator models?
The COM-DATA-WIFI provides Wi-Fi connectivity only, the COM-DATA-4G-WIFI offers both Wi-Fi and 4G with automatic switching, and the COM-DATA-4G-SD provides mobile connectivity only with speech and SMS capabilities.
Do I need an internet connection for these communicators to work?
The COM-DATA-4G-SD and COM-DATA-4G-WIFI models can operate independently without requiring a router or internet connection, making them ideal for remote locations or temporary installations.
What type of SIM card is required for the 4G models?
Both 4G models require a Micro SIM (3FF) that supports 4G with fallback to 3G/2G. Standard SIMs support data, voice and SMS, whilst data-only SIMs may not support voice and SMS functions.
