In most cases you can reuse existing coax infrastructure, but you’ll need a DVR that supports 5MP recording to get the camera’s full resolution.
What’s the maximum cable run I can get away with before the picture degrades?
Serage specifies a maximum of 300m using 5C 2V coaxial cable; thinner cable such as RG59 will typically achieve a shorter usable distance before signal loss becomes noticeable.
