Quantec-Pro Core Controller
£393.01 (inc VAT: £471.61)
Summary
The C-TEC Quantec-Pro Core Controller (QP901) is the central power and control unit for C-TEC’s next generation Quantec-Pro Call System. This advanced controller provides comprehensive monitoring of all network devices whilst managing the routing and distribution of calls throughout the system, making it an essential component for healthcare and care facility communication systems.
Designed for enhanced functionality, the QP901 accommodates up to 255 editable 24-character place names and supports up to 16 zone and 16 group equations – double the capacity of standard Quantec systems. The controller provides connections for network wiring, standby batteries, laptop programming via QP907 tools, and optional paging/DECT equipment. An optional QTS2/5 Quantec Surveyor2 IoT Card is available to facilitate access to C-TEC’s powerful Surveyor2 data management software.
The unit offers flexible installation options with semi-flush mounting using a QT385 bezel or fully-flushed installation using a BF359/3S stainless steel enclosure. It’s important to note that the QP901 does not function as a standard corridor display when not being used for programming, so a separate Quantec-Pro Corridor Display will be required in areas such as nursing stations where awareness of incoming calls is needed.

FAQ
Does the QP901 function as a corridor display?
No, the QP901 does not function as a standard corridor display when not being used for programming. If the controller is located in an area such as a nursing station where you need to be made aware of incoming calls, a separate Quantec-Pro Corridor Display will be required.
What are the mounting options for the QP901?
The QP901 can be semi-flush mounted using a QT385 bezel or fully-flushed using a BF359/3S stainless steel enclosure, providing flexible installation options to suit different environments.
What type of wiring is required for the system?
System wiring should be made in a spine and limb arrangement using 1.5 to 2.5mm² T&E cable for spines and 4 to 8 core stranded security cable for limbs. The system also requires one or more QT603 network splitters.
Can the system be integrated with data management software?
Yes, the QP901 provides an RS232 connection for use with C-TEC’s Quantec Surveyor data management software via a PC. Additionally, an optional QTS2/5 Quantec Surveyor2 IoT Card is available to facilitate access to the powerful Surveyor2 software.
How many zones and groups can the QP901 accommodate?
The QP901 accommodates up to 16 zone and 16 group equations, which is double the capacity of a standard Quantec system that supports only 8 zones and 8 groups.
What battery backup is supported?
The controller supports 2 x 12V 7Ah VRLA batteries connected in series, providing standby power with a maximum output of 2.5A when mains power is off.
What call priority outputs are available?
The QP901 provides 5 call outputs for different priority levels: standard, help required, emergency, attack and cardiac, along with a fault output for system monitoring.
