Serage SRDT5VFB | 5MP TVI Motorised Vari-focal Turret Camera | 2.7-13.5mm Motorised Lens, 35m IR, IP66
£44.80 (inc VAT: £53.76)
Summary
The Serage SRDT5VFB is a high-performance 5MP TVI motorised vari-focal turret camera designed for outdoor surveillance applications where both image clarity and installation flexibility are essential. Finished in black, the SRDT5VFB features a 2.7-13.5mm motorised lens that allows users to remotely adjust the field of view - zooming in for close-up detail or out for a wider perspective - without the need for manual lens adjustment on site.
Delivering crisp 5MP resolution via BNC output, this camera is compatible with AHD, TVI, CVI, and CVBS DVR systems, making it a versatile choice for both new installations and upgrades to existing analogue infrastructure. With an IR range of up to 35 metres, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) at 120dB, and 3D Digital Noise Reduction, the SRDT5VFB maintains clear, detailed footage across a wide variety of lighting conditions.
Built with a robust metal housing and rated IP66 for dust and water resistance, the SRDT5VFB is well-suited to demanding outdoor environments. Its built-in base simplifies mounting, while the ACP (AHD Coax Protocol) remote control interface allows configuration adjustments to be made directly over the coaxial cable - minimising installation complexity. Ideal for perimeter security, car parks, retail exteriors, and any location where visible deterrence and image quality are priorities. For wall installations, the Wall Mount Bracket for Big Dome is available as a compatible accessory.

FAQ
Will this 5MP TVI camera work with my existing AHD or HD-CVI DVR?
The SRDT5VFB outputs natively in 5MP TVI (Transaction Video Interface) or 5MP AHD (Analogue High Definition), and can also be switched to 4MP or 2MP AHD/CVI (Composite Video Interface)/TVI modes, plus legacy CVBS (Composite Video Baseband Signal, 960H). Your DVR (Digital Video Recorder) must support the chosen format and resolution for the picture to display correctly, so check its supported inputs before ordering.
What’s the maximum cable run before I lose picture quality?
Huvo rates this camera for a maximum transmission distance of 300m using 5C 2V coax cable. Longer runs, thinner cable, or poor-quality connectors will reduce signal integrity and can introduce noise, particularly at the higher 5MP resolution, so keep within this figure for a reliable image.
Can I reuse existing RG59 coax when upgrading from an old CVBS system?
The datasheet specifies the 300m maximum run based on 5C 2V cable, not RG59, so results with RG59 may fall short of this distance, especially at 5MP. If you’re reusing existing coax on a longer run, it’s worth testing the picture at full resolution first or dropping to a lower resolution mode (4MP/2MP) if degradation appears.
Does this camera support Power over Coax (PoC)?
No - the SRDT5VFB is specified with a standard 12V DC input and does not list PoC support on its datasheet. You’ll need to run a separate power feed to the camera; if PoC is a requirement for the installation, check with Huvo directly or specify an alternative model confirmed to support it.
Is this camera suitable for a mixed analogue system alongside older SD or IP cameras?
Because the SRDT5VFB supports switchable 5MP/4MP/2MP TVI, AHD, CVI, and CVBS outputs, it can be configured to match older analogue cameras on the same coax-based DVR, provided the recorder itself accepts multiple formats (a hybrid DVR). It does not output IP video, so it cannot be added directly to a pure IP/NVR system without a separate encoder.
What compliance certifications does this camera hold for UK installations?
The SRDT5VFB carries CE (LVD and EMC), FCC, and RoHS 2.0 certification as listed on the datasheet. It does not carry a specific BS EN 62676 CCTV systems certification, so if this standard is a project requirement, confirm compliance at system design and installation level rather than relying on the camera alone.
