Elmdene 12V 1A Switch Mode Power Supply
The 12V DC G Range, N Series power supply can be fitted to give 4 or 8 independent fused outputs if required, and is suitable for intruder systems, access control, and general-purpose applications that require the use of a standby battery.
Utilising energy-efficient switch mode technology to offer a 13.8V DC output and a universal mains supply input (90—264V AC), it offers a cost effective and reliable solution.
The modular range consists of 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A power variants with full rated current to load and features a fully regulated output with low ripple and noise.
With front tamper protection, overload protection and a lifetime warranty, the power supply unit is assured to meet your needs, offering easy maintenance and upgrading.
This power supply is UKCA marked.
Elmdene TRS1 24V DC 1 Amp Door Retainer Power Supply
Designed specifically for access control applications that require remote control of the power supply output, the Door Retainer Power Supply is used to power magnetic door retainers, utilising a signal from the fire panel in order to switch off the output to the doors in the event of a fire alarm activation.
With a range of input options, including the detection of a normally closed contact going open and vice versa, and removal of a 24V DC signal to provide a fully fail-safe operation mode, this power supply uses LED status indicators within a closed enclosure to provide quick diagnostics showing the presence of a mains input and output fuse failure.
Using energy-efficient switch mode technology and a universal mains supply input (90—264V AC), the power supply features efficient switch mode operation with added mains transient protection.
Additionally, the door retainer power supply offers a 3-year warranty, and is fully CE marked and BS 7273 compliant.

Elmdene TR 24V Transformer Rectifier
The enhanced Elmdene Transformer Rectifier power supply unit is used to power magnetic door retainers; using a signal from the main fire panel to switch off the output to the doors, in the event of a fire alarm activation.
With an expanded range of input options, the Transformer Rectifier (TR) provides a fully fail-safe operation mode, with a choice of 2 or 4A output and mains transient protection to protect the system from voltage or current spikes.
Similar to the Door Retainer Power Supply, the TR has three control options for remote control of the output including:
- Removal of an external 24V DC supply (BS 7273 Compliant)
- Opening of a normally closed volt-free contact
- Closing of a normally open volt-free contact
To add further reassurance to users, the LED status indicators supply quick diagnostics to show the presence of any mains input and output fuse failures, allowing the installer or maintenance to promptly resolve the issue.
The Transformer Rectifier comes with 3 year warranty, and is fully CE marked and BS 7273 compliant.
Elmdene STX 24V DC STX Power Supply, 7Ah & 17Ah Batteries
We are proud to offer both Elmdene power supplies in 7Ah and 17Ah. The STX range of switch mode power supplies has been specifically designed for EN54 compliant fire systems.
Similar to many Elmdene products, the useful LED indicators provide diagnostics of the status of the power supply, with enclosures offering the installer a choice of standby battery backup options.
What makes these power supplies unique is their intelligent battery charging using Elmdene’s efficient EcoCharge technology, making them more efficient in operation and saving power to reduce energy bills. With intelligent battery charging and monitoring, the power supply units offer a longer life and are less liable to failure.
Furthermore, the power supply units offer mains and battery monitoring with independent volt-free outputs, in addition to battery deep discharge protection in the event of a prolonged mains failure.
Importantly, the units feature volt-free fault output – EPS for mains fail, in addition to volt-free fault output – PSU fault for battery and charger faults, and loss of output.
Both power supply units come with lifetime warranty.

The STX PSU in C enclosure is a 1, 2 or 5A PSU certified to EN54-4:1997, A1:2002 & A2:2006, with the enclosure fitting up to 2 x 7Ah 12V batteries.

The STX PSU in E enclosure is a 2, 5 or 10A PSU certified to EN54-4:1997, A1:2002 & A2:2006, with the enclosure fitting up to 2 x 17Ah 12V batteries.
