Summary
What this kit is designed for
This kit provides a complete fire detection system for small domestic properties, typically covering single floor homes including flats and bungalows.
It includes mains-powered smoke and heat alarms with a sealed ten year battery backup, designed for reliable long-term protection with minimal maintenance. A carbon monoxide alarm is included as standard.
All fire alarms are hardwire interlinked so that when one activates, all alarms sound throughout the property. The CO alarm operates as a standalone device, which is standard practice in UK homes.

Why this kit is suitable for your property
This provides LD2 level of protection for a small property. LD2 protection covers smoke detection in escape routes and heat detection in high-risk areas such as kitchens. It is the standard level of protection for most UK domestic properties.
This kit is suitable for single floor properties including one and two bedroom flats, bungalows and other single storey homes, new installations and upgrades, and properties where a fixed mains-powered system is preferred.
Interconnection
The smoke and heat alarms in this kit can be hardwire interlinked so that when one alarm activates, all alarms sound simultaneously throughout the property.
This means a fire starting in the kitchen will immediately alert occupants wherever they are in the property, giving everyone the maximum possible time to escape.
The CO alarm in this kit operates as a standalone device. This is standard practice in UK homes where CO alarms are rarely connected to the hardwire interlink circuit. The CO alarm will still sound locally when carbon monoxide is detected and the system remains fully compliant.
For customers who prefer the CO alarm to be part of the interlinked network, choose the Mains with Wireless Interlink version of this kit.
Installation
This is a mains-powered Grade D1 system. Connection to the mains supply requires a qualified electrician.
Where interlink wiring is present or being installed, the smoke and heat alarms can be hardwire interlinked directly without additional components.
If you are installing this kit in an existing property where interlink wiring is not available, the Mains with Wireless Interlink version may be more suitable.
Carbon monoxide protection
A carbon monoxide alarm is included as standard in this kit.
CO alarms are recommended for any property with a fuel-burning appliance such as a gas boiler, oil boiler, wood-burning stove or solid fuel fire.
One CO alarm is included. Properties with fuel-burning appliances in more than one room will require an additional CO alarm for each affected room.
Regional requirements
England and Wales
This kit meets standard LD2 domestic fire alarm guidance for small properties in England and Wales.
Scotland
In Scotland, all homes are required to have a smoke alarm in the main living room in addition to the escape route detection included in this kit. One additional smoke alarm is required per main living area in the property.
Additional smoke alarms are available separately and can be added to this kit to meet Scottish requirements.
